Well-known Latvian interviewer Heccu spoke about the difficulties she’s facing working on the Counter-Strike scene. Despite years of experience and speaking several languages, she has recently been receiving far fewer invitations to major tournaments. Since IEM Chengdu 2024, most of her work has been limited to ESL Impact and FISSURE events, which are currently paused or canceled.

Heccu also noted that even staying active through streaming and content creation has not helped stabilize the situation, and she often has to cover part of her travel expenses herself.

According to Anastasija, she is not planning to leave CS2 completely for now and is giving herself until the end of 2026 to try to change the situation. At the same time, she is already considering opportunities in other esports titles. If nothing changes, Heccu may eventually return to working in microbiology, the field of her original degree.
