Zhang Haohan, an investor in the esports organization Invictus Gaming, announced the opening of the club’s new home arena in the Putuo district of Shanghai. The facility, which is part of the Inzone Esports Industrial Park, is valued at $20 million.

The building, covering more than 10,000 square meters, will serve not only as a venue for matches but also as a hub for digital content production and regional broadcasts. The arena will be used for the first time on May 12, 2026, during a match against Bilibili Gaming as part of the LPL.

Construction of the arena took six years, during which the project endured the pandemic and the loss of its initial partners. A key motivation to continue development during the most difficult times was the victory of Chinese player Oliveira at IEM Katowice 2023 in StarCraft II, which inspired the investor to see the project through to completion.

Zhang emphasized that the arena was built without government subsidies or direct support from major game publishers.

As a reminder, VCT 2026 EMEA Stage 1 became the least popular opening stage in the series’ history.
