Kutum Boss Guide in Crimson Desert

If you reach the Kingshield Dig Site or pick up the faction quest "Beneath the Dig Site", you will eventually encounter Kutum. This Abyss-type creature is encased in ancient stone, which makes dealing direct damage to it extremely ineffective at first.

Despite that, the encounter is quite manageable once you understand the core mechanic. To defeat Kutum, you need to use Axiom Force on its eye and pull it free. Here is a clear breakdown of how to handle the fight.

★ Kutum can be found in the Kingshield Dig Site area within Marshell Estate, located north of the letter D in Demeniss.

How to defeat Kutum in Crimson Desert:

• Kutum will dive underground during the fight, so pay attention to the moving ground and dodge to avoid getting hit when it resurfaces beneath you.
• Once it comes back up, immediately activate Axiom Force L3 and target the glowing red eye on top of its body.
• Hold L2 and use the right stick to pull the eye out of its head.
• This action will stun Kutum and leave it vulnerable for an extended period.
• Use R2 attacks to deal the most damage, and when your stamina runs low, switch to Turning Slash by pressing R1 and R2 together until the boss is defeated.

After defeating Kutum, you will be rewarded with the Kutum Shield and an Abyss Artifact. In addition, you can extract the Power Core using Axiom Force and store it in your Kuku Pot for future upgrades at Kilnden.

Unlike many other boss fights, this one does not require a large запас of healing items or Palmar Pills. Focus on avoiding Kutum’s slower attacks and wait for the right opportunity to remove its eye.
