The first round of IEM Cologne Major 2026 Stage 2 in Counter-Strike 2 has concluded, featuring several teams with Ukrainian players as well as organizations representing Ukraine.
The opening match involving Ukrainian teams saw B8 face FUT Esports on Ancient. The contest remained highly competitive throughout most of the game, with neither side able to establish a decisive advantage early on. However, FUT managed to stay composed in the crucial moments and ultimately secured the victory, advancing to the 1-0 pool, while B8 dropped to the 0-1 bracket.

Meanwhile, Monte, the Ukrainian esports organization, took on BIG on Mirage. The German side attempted to keep the match competitive, but Monte's disciplined and effective defense proved too strong. A confident performance on the CT side allowed Monte to control the game and earn a convincing victory.

The second round of Stage 2 action will take place later today. FUT Esports and Monte will continue their campaigns in the 1-0 bracket, while B8 will look to recover in the 0-1 pool.
