NetEase has carried out a large-scale ban wave in Marvel Rivals, permanently banning nearly 500 accounts.
The investigation confirmed that these users were using or distributing prohibited third-party software and modifying the game client. The developers publicly released a list of offenders with partially censored IDs and usernames, while also revealing their in-game ranks.
NetEase stated that the detected cheats and their modifications have now been added to the game’s monitoring systems, meaning any future attempts to use them will result in immediate automatic bans. For severe violations — including repeated offenses, attempts to evade punishment, or organized distribution of cheating software — the company plans to apply harsher measures such as IP and hardware ID bans.
As a reminder, the first participants of the Esports World Cup 2026 have already been determined.
