Paramount Global is exploring the possibility of adapting its flagship television franchise, Yellowstone, into a video game. Expanding the so-called “Sheridan Universe,” created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, is currently one of the media giant’s key strategic priorities.
In an interview with Polygon, Sean Kittelsen, Head of Creative and Production at Paramount Games Studio, confirmed that Yellowstone, its spin-offs, as well as the TV series Landman and Tulsa King, are all being considered as potential gaming adaptations.
According to Kittelsen, Paramount is moving away from the practice of licensing brands indiscriminately for short-term profit. Instead, the company aims to act as a “cultural steward” of its franchises, ensuring that fans’ time and money are respected when new products are created.
The company’s strategy focuses on gradually expanding its gaming division, carefully selecting development partners, and creating experiences that align closely with audience expectations.
At this stage, Paramount has not made any official announcements regarding the project. As a result, there is currently no information about the game's genre, visual style, development studio, or release window.
As a reminder, Team Vitality has extended its residency at the Stade de France through 2026.
