The organizer of the Giro d’Italia, RCS Sport, has announced a partnership with NOVO Esports to launch the legendary cycling race inside the popular game Fortnite.

The project introduces a specially designed in-game environment created to promote the 109th edition of the “Corsa Rosa.” The main goal of the initiative is to engage a younger, digitally active audience.

The map features eight stage cities from the official 2026 route, including Naples, Milan, Aosta, and the final stage in Rome. Up to eight players can compete simultaneously for the main prize — the Trofeo Senza Fine.

For the first time in Fortnite, a functional bicycle will be introduced as a mode of transportation. The mechanic was developed in partnership with De Rosa, the official bike supplier for Giro 2026, allowing players to ride along paved roads through intermediate checkpoints.

According to Roberto Salamini, entering Fortnite is a strategic step in expanding the brand’s digital ecosystem and will help accelerate its international growth.

The Giro d'Italia is one of the most prestigious and challenging multi-stage cycling races in the world, held annually on roads across Italy. It is one of the three Grand Tours, alongside the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España.

It is also worth noting the first tournament for the Ukrainian national team in Rocket League.
