Polish studio Rebel Wolves, founded by former CD Projekt RED developers, has already begun work on the next game set in The Blood of Dawnwalker universe. The team previously hinted that its debut title would serve as the foundation for a much larger franchise.
At the beginning of June, during Summer Game Fest 2026, the developers showed a mysterious teaser featuring Cohen, the protagonist from 14th century Europe, living in the modern world. It now appears that the teaser was an early hint at the future direction of the series.
Rebel Wolves narrative director Jakub Szamalek confirmed on LinkedIn that the studio has entered the early stages of development on its next project. The team is currently working on the concept while also looking for an experienced lead writer who can help create the next chapter of the vampire saga.
The Blood of Dawnwalker launched to strong reviews and sold one million copies during its very first weekend. But! We are not going to rest on our laurels, not by any means! We are already thinking about what comes next.
So! Drumroll, please! I am looking for a lead writer who will help me and my team write the next chapter of the Dawnwalker saga.
The Blood of Dawnwalker launched last week and got off to a strong start, selling one million copies during its first weekend. The game has also received positive reactions from both critics and players. However, it has fallen short of The Witcher 3 in several areas, while performance and optimization issues have drawn criticism. Future patches and DLC could still help the action RPG reach its full potential.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
