Rockstar Games has confirmed a physical release of Red Dead Redemption for PlayStation 5. The boxed edition launches on May 4 at $30, giving collectors a long-awaited disc version.
Originally released in 2010, the game later received re-releases, including a PS4 version and a digital launch in 2025 for Sony users. This version features 4K, 60 FPS, HDR, and save transfers from PS4.

The announcement followed earlier leaks from Wakkap and an Amazon pre-order listing. There are also rumors about a release on Nintendo platforms.
The story follows John Marston, a former outlaw forced to hunt his old gang to protect his family. The package includes the Undead Nightmare expansion.
Despite the excitement, fans criticize the lack of a modern performance update for Red Dead Redemption 2. With a new Grand Theft Auto on the horizon, many hope Rockstar will modernize the Red Dead series as well.
