Rocket League Introduces Easy Anti-Cheat on PC: What Players Need to Know

For online play in Rocket League on PC, the Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) system is becoming mandatory. The update is aimed at maintaining fair and competitive gameplay.

EAC runs in the background and fully supports both Steam Deck and Linux. However, modifications (mods) will no longer work in online matches with anti-cheat enabled—they will only be available in training, offline play, or LAN matches.

Developers continue to integrate popular community-requested features directly into the game. In addition to previously added MMR display and training randomization, this update introduces:

  • Team colors in Free Play (Free Play Team Colors)
  • A new StatsAPI for broadcasters

The introduction of EAC is part of a broader strategy by the developers to combat bots, account selling, and smurfing.

Previously, RCS Sport and NOVO Esports announced bringing the Giro d'Italia into Fortnite.
