Valve has released a new Steam client update, bringing features that had been tested in beta since September to the stable version.
Big Picture mode now includes Big Art Mode, which puts the selected game's cover artwork at the center of the home screen, while other titles appear as smaller tiles along the bottom, similar to the PlayStation 5 interface.
The update also introduces new idle screensavers. Users can choose a slideshow featuring artwork from recently played games and their own in-game screenshots, or a retro-inspired screensaver with the Steam logo bouncing off the edges of the screen. A personalized release calendar has also been added to the Recommended tab.
Big Picture additionally supports custom screensavers, which can be installed in the dedicated folder within the Steam installation directory.
