Following a poor start in the Stage 2 Play-In and finding themselves on the brink of elimination, the esports organization Natus Vincere has decided to make further changes to its VALORANT roster. French player Clément "CyvOph" Millard has been benched, and Ukrainian Herman "Kolosha" Skrypka will take his place for the remainder of the season.
After a defeat to Joblife, which put NAVI on the verge of ending their VALORANT Champions Tour season, the organization decided to prematurely end CyvOph's stint. The French esports player joined the team only at the beginning of the split, and his time with NAVI lasted just four competitive weeks. The player's performances did not meet management's expectations, marking another blow for CyvOph after a difficult year in which he was already benched by Team Vitality and brought in as a stand-in for Fnatic.
According to sources, Herman "Kolosha" Skrypka will become the new main roster player, having already reached a verbal agreement. The Ukrainian previously played for the academy roster, NAVI Junior, but already has experience playing at the highest level. This season, he helped the main team at the EMEA Clash tournament, substituting for Uğur "Ruxic" Güç, and also played two matches in VCT EMEA Stage 1 in place of Abdullah "ExiT" Al-Twaijri, who had visa issues.
Kolosha dedicated most of his time to NAVI Junior, where he had a successful season: the team reached the final of VCL EMEA Stage 2. He also represented Ukraine in the Esports Nations Cup qualifier. The Ukrainian's agent pool is very similar to CyvOph's. In recent weeks, his primary pick has been Phoenix, but he also plays effectively as a secondary Duelist or on Sage, adapting to different playstyles.
NAVI continues to break records for roster instability—since the beginning of the year, ten different players have already played for the team. Recently, Martin "Magnum" Peňkov from Enterprise Esports noted in an interview with Sheep Esports that constant roster rotations in VCT teams are their weak point, pointing directly to NAVI as a prime example of such chaotic changes.
The next test for the updated NAVI roster will take place today. The team will face Team Heretics in the lower bracket of the tournament. To secure a spot in the playoffs and save their season, Natus Vincere must secure three consecutive wins.
