EA Sports has officially announced the details of the 2027 FC Pro competitive season, which will begin on September 21, 2026, with a total prize pool of $2.5 million. The ultimate goal for all participants will be the final FC Pro 27 World Championship tournament. The competition's geography has been expanded this season: esports athletes from Bahrain, Jordan, Libya, and Oman will join the Middle East region for the first time.
The qualification path will begin with the FC Pro Open Ladder stage, running from September 21 to October 3, 2026. The selection process will take place directly in-game, with no need to register on external websites. Players who reach Division 5 or higher in Division Rivals will automatically gain access to the tournament. Progression will depend on the highest Skill Rating achieved during the competition.
The next step will be the FC Pro Open Regional Qualifiers (October 10–11, 2026), which will feature the top 1,376 PlayStation 5 players from 10 regions. This stage will be held on the Battlefy platform: day one will use a Swiss-system format, while day two will feature a double-elimination bracket.
Following the regional qualifiers, 52 winners will head to London for the first offline tournament of the season—the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier. They will be joined by 16 players who have already secured their spots thanks to their high placements (5th to 16th) in the previous FC Pro 26 World Championship. This stage will determine the 16 finalists who will advance to the FC Pro Open, where they will face the top eight players from last season. The FC Pro Open group stage winners and all quarterfinalists will qualify directly for the World Championship.
In the second half of the season (from November to January), players will have additional opportunities through the monthly FC Pro Open Cups. By earning Circuit Points, participants can compete for 28 spots in the World Championship Play-Ins stage. The FC Pro Partnered Leagues will also return, offering additional qualification quotas.
The season will conclude with the massive FC Pro World Championship. It will be preceded by a Last Chance Qualifier round (minimum of 512 participants) and the Play-Ins stage featuring 64 players. The main finals will bring together the 36 best competitive players of the season, who will compete for the title and a $1 million prize pool.
