VALORANT has been added to the official secondary school curriculum in the Philippines. Information about the new initiative surfaced on X after a user shared pages from the Matatag Curriculum, which was approved by the Philippine Department of Education.

For 10th-grade students, educators have introduced lessons focused on "promoting digital well-being through VALORANT." The module is part of a broader curriculum that explores digital health and esports as tools for supporting personal well-being and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

According to the curriculum, the lessons aim to help students:

  • Identify the objectives and core mechanics of VALORANT;
  • Explain the skills and strategies used during gameplay;
  • Demonstrate respect, fairness, and sportsmanship during online matches and tournaments;
  • Practice teamwork, communication, and time management while preparing an esports event;
  • Organize and manage an esports event using fundamental concepts and principles.

The full curriculum also allows schools to choose from a wide range of games when implementing the program. Other titles listed as potential educational games include League of Legends, Dota, Hearthstone, StarCraft II, Rocket League, Minecraft, FIFA, PUBG, and Tekken.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) announced the launch of the national team qualifier for UEFA eEURO 2026.
